Terms of Service

Last updated: September 7, 2026

1. About these terms

By creating a Tutorly Bird account or booking a session, you agree to these Terms of Service. Tutorly Bird provides live, one-on-one online tutoring for children ages 4–8, booked and managed by a parent or legal guardian.

2. Parent responsibilities

  • You must be the parent or legal guardian of any child whose information you add.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide about your child.
  • You arrange a safe, appropriate setting for your child's video session and remain available, as needed, during sessions.
  • You manage your account, session credits, and your child's profile information.

3. Tutor responsibilities

  • Deliver sessions professionally and in an age-appropriate manner.
  • Use only Tutorly Bird's approved systems for session links and communication about bookings.
  • Follow the Tutor Code of Conduct.

4. Tutor conduct

Tutors must not request a child's personal contact information, contact students privately outside the platform, exchange personal social-media accounts, or arrange off-platform meetings. All communication about bookings takes place through Tutorly Bird. See the Code of Conduct for full rules.

5. Online tutoring rules

Sessions take place over live video. Sessions are not recorded unless you are informed and provide consent. A parent or guardian should be accessible during session times. Meeting links are provided through your Tutorly Bird dashboard and should not be shared outside your household.

6. Payment, credits, cancellation and refunds

Session credits are purchased through Base44 Payments and stored on your account. One credit is used per booked session. Unused credits do not expire. Cancellation and refund details are described on the Pricing page. If your child's first session is not a good fit, contact us and we will make it right.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to access other families' data, or use the platform for any unlawful or harmful purpose. Children do not create accounts and must not be given access to your parent account credentials.

8. Account termination

You can close your account and request deletion of your family's data at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that raise safety concerns.

9. Reporting safety concerns

If you have any concern about your child's safety or a tutor's conduct, please report it through the Report a Safety Concern page. Reports go directly to Tutorly Bird administration.

10. Liability and disclaimers

Tutoring is provided on an "as is" basis. Tutorly Bird is not a substitute for professional educational or developmental assessment. To the extent permitted by law, Tutorly Bird is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the service. Parents remain responsible for their child's overall education and wellbeing.

These terms are provided as a starting point. Before launch, have a qualified attorney review them for your specific region and business.
